The IJMC is very happy and proud to have found a new host country for the JWC 2025. After intensive discussions at the Jet Power Fair 2024 and afterwards, we have found a very reliable and committed organizer in Trond Hammerstad from Norway with whom we will host the 15th IJMC JWC from
22. - 30.8.2025 in Skien, Norway.
To our regret, it was no longer possible to hold the JWM in Qatar 2025. On the one hand, the geopolitical escalations in this region have escalated dramatically and on the other hand, the head of the Ministry of Sport and Youth changed at the beginning of 2025, who will periodize the previously planned events differently.
The IJMC is convinced that Trond Hammerstand and his team will be an outstanding host for this event.
Two innovations will accompany the 15th IJMC JWM in Norway for the first time in 2025. On the opening weekend on August 23rd and 24th, the JWM will be duly opened with a two-day airshow. Many national and international top pilots will support this airshow and offer the guests a great airshow.
Due to the legal weight limit of 150kg model weight in Norway, the IJMC has decided to integrate a new Giant class into the competition. This is the first time that such an attractive class has been established for pilots and spectators alike. In order to give as many pilots as possible the opportunity to participate in this new class with existing models, the Giant Class rule book will be closely based on the simplified Basic Jet Scale Demo Rules.
On November 8th, 9th and 10th, 2024, I will travel to Norway as IJMC Chairman to take a look at the local conditions. Trond and I will also be holding intensive talks with the hotels and tourist board to see what accommodation options are available in Skien and the surrounding area.
